I also don't recall for certain, but I think for one of the larger openings, there's a center support that I removed completely (the hinge attaches in the middle of the panel, so it was necessary).

I generally use a grinder bit on my Dremel for most of the work (it tends to melt the plastic, so be careful), then clean it up with an x-acto knife and various files.
Yea I was just comparing to the aluminum and plexus dimes... and seems there about  a 1/2” of extra material around the openings... so my initial plan was to remove it all... lol
